LeAnna Shields was raised in Colorado. She discovered she loved creating characters at an early age and used to pester the poor teacher's aide with tales of her imaginary friend's adventures. She didn't discover a love of writing until she was in high school, when she started home school. She has now published four young adult novels (under her own name)  and a children's book (under the pen name Anna Lee).
